Donald Weir

Donald Alfred Weir, 73, of Mt. Vernon, died Sunday, March 1, 2009. He was born January 21, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, the son of Aubrey and Sarah Mae (Douthitt) Weir .


He was married to Joyce (Boling) Weir, who preceded him in death. He was also was preceded in death by a brother Robert Weir.


Donald was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the New Harmony Masonic Lodge and a member of the Bethesda General Baptist Church.


Donald is survived by sons, Richard and his wife Maykle Morao, Randall and wife Bonnie Rheinhardt, both sons , residing in Evansville. Daughters, Vicki and husband Vernon Wilson of Mt. Vernon, IN., Teresa Weir and Kevin Kincheloe of Mt. Vernon,
IN. and Donna Bratcher of Crossville, IL. Donald has 6 Grandchildren, Melissa Gilpin, Robert Weir, Brandi Bush, Elizabeth Sisson, Stephanie Weir, Nikki King and Emily Ochoa. There are 7 Great Grandchildren.
Don is also survived by his brothers, Arbary and wife , Rubilee of Ft. Meyers, FL.,
Harry of Crossville, IL. Sisters , Mary Newman, of Homa, LA. and Ida Whitlow of Crossville, IL.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Austin Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, IN. with Pastors Stan Hoffman and Dean Mitchell
officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at the funeral home. Visitation will also be from 10 a.m. till service on the 5th. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery in Mt.
