Donald Turner, 84, of Norris City, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 12:17 p.m. at Enfield Rehab and Nursing in Enfield. He was born January 17, 1931 in Brownsville, IL, the son of Raymond and Viola Mae (Hillyard) Turner. He was an electrician.
Donald is survived by his companion of over 20 years, Irene Bishop of Norris City; two sons, Clyde (Janet) Turner of Mt. Carmel and Terry (Debbie) Turner of Chandler, IN; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel (George) Finch of Odessa, TX; a foster sister, Pat (George) Piper of Columbia, MO; a foster brother, Buddy; Irene's children, Elizabeth (Keith) Bryant of Norris City, Orville Hysell and Pamela Burke both of Carbondale and Del (Vickie) Bishop of Evansville, IN; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Simpson.
Graveside services and burial for Donald Turner, 84, of Norris City, will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at West Union Cemetery near Carmi. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
