Donald Spicer, 76 of Fairfield and formerly of Crossville, died Tuesday evening February 25, 2014 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was born December 13, 1937 at Enfield the son of Wilma Storey. He first married Inagean Flowers and she preceded him in death on January 30, 2003, he then married Mary Brock in 2005.
Don had worked at the Crossville Phone Company and later worked part time at the New Harmony Bridge. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Kings Chapel in Fairfield.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Wayne (Lisa) Spicer of Crossville, three step-sons, Johnny (Kathy) Bramlett, Jason, (Heather) Austin and Bryan Austin, all of Fairfield; 6 grandchildren, Amanda (Terry) Spicer, Derek (Sarah) Spicer, Kenlee Bramlett, Megan, Nicholas and Malia Austin; 3 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Riley Warren and Tyson Spicer; 1 brother, Joe (Bonnie) Spicer of Fenton, MO. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Brock.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday March 1, 2014 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery at Fairfield. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
