Donald Sherrard, Sr.

Donald E. Sherrard, Sr., 74 of Carmi, passed away on Tuesday morning, August 29, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born on July 6, 1943 in Carmi, the son of J.D. and Mary (Burnett) Sherrard. He married Barbara Sherman on March 28, 1968 and she survives.
Mr. Sherrard was a copper miner and retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Christopher; and grandson, Andrew. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Donald E. Sherrard, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Marshall Ferry Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
