Donald “Donnie†C. Rickert 75,
of Evansville, Indiana formerly of Mt. Vernon died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at his home.
Donald was born August 7, 1932 in Posey County, Indiana to the late Clarence and Josephine Rickert. He had worked as a self-employed farmer, retiring in 1977. Donald was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of VFW Post #1114 in Evansville, where he worked as a Custodian. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Order of Owls Nest #30 both of Evansville. Donald loved to dance and took great pride in his work as a farmer.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 E. 4th Mt. Vernon, Indiana with Reverend Tom Buffington officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery with the American Legion Owen Dunn Post #5 conducting military rites.
Friends may call 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 29, 2007, at the funeral home.
