Donald Phillips

Donald K. Phillips, 74, of Newton passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 9:25 p.m. at VA Medical Center in Marion, IL. He was born April 26, 1939 in Norris City, IL the son of Truman and Freda (Kisner) Phillips. Donald worked as an Auto Parts Sales at the Chevrolet Dealerships in Olney and Newton. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran and member of the May Lodge, Masonic Lodge #718 in Norris City and Masonic Lodge #216 in Newton.
Donald is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gary Hazel of Sugar Land, TX; two sons, Alan Phillips of Ste. Marie, IL and Gary Phillips of Parkersburg, IL; four grandchildren, Gregory Phillips, Evan Hazel, Chase Phillips and Wesley Phillips; and two great-grandchildren, Autumn Phillips and Gregory Xavier Phillips,
Private funeral services will be held for Donald K. Phillips. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City with Military Rites by the Carmi VFW and American Legion. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
