Donald R. Parker, 63, of Carmi, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at his home. He was born February 7, 1950 in Evansville, Indiana, the son of John Sherman and Virginia Lee (Lingafelter) Parker, Jr. Donald was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and worked at Gottzz's, Rush Appliance and Walmart.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jannita and Jim Phipps and Jenny and Chris Browning all of Carmi; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Joe Browning and Beverly and Ivan Corrie all of Grayville; and a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Deborah Parker of Millington, TN.
Funeral services for Donald R. Parker, 63, of Carmi, will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Joe Browning officiating. Burial is at White County Memorial Garden with military rites performed by Carmi VFW and American Legion. Friends may call on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
