Donald Nation

Donald E. Nation 75 of Mt. Vernon passed away Wednesday morning May 9, 2018 at his home. He was born June 4, 1942 in Mt. Vernon, the son of Homer Earl and Mary (Mosely) Nation.

Don worked in construction and ran a roofing company for many years. He loved to be outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Kristi Deck and Donna Fay Nation; son, Robert Nation; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers, Ed Nation, Sr., and Roger Nation; sister, Judith Thompson; his longtime companion, Ruth Nation. He was preceded in death by brothers, Michael, Ivan Wayne, William, Roy, James and Robert Lee Nation; sisters, Betty McGraw, Dorothy Southard and Carolyn Sue Nation; and his companion Mary E. Nation.

A Memorial visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Monday May 14, 2018 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St. Mt. Vernon. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com. The Stendeback Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
