Donald Juncker

Donald R. Juncker, 75, of Mt. Vernon, died on February 16, 2013 at Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehab. He was born on January 15, 1938 in Caborn, the son of Maurice H. and Clara M. (Naab) Juncker. He married Betty Bebout on April 8, 1978 and she preceded him in death on November 22, 2006.

Mr. Juncker graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1956. He worked for Juncker Bros. Sales and Service. He farmed for a number of years in the Grafton area of Posey County. He then worked for Babcock and Wilcox Co. in Mt. Vernon and later worked as a certified Boilermaker traveling throughout the Midwest in construction and repair of High Pressure Boilers and Pressure Vessels. Don retired in 1999 to enjoy lifelong hobbies of gardening and fishing. He served in the National Guard and was member of the American Legion, Eagles, and Moose. He attended Caborn Church.

He is survived by sons, Gary Juncker of the Phillipines, Ethan Juncker of Dongola, IL, Jerry Juncker of Clarksville, TN, Bryan Juncker of Evansville, David Nation of Mt. Vernon, and Mark Nation-Ellis of Lawrenceville, IL; daughters, Tammy Juncker of Oklahoma, Amanda Schmitzer of Mt. Vernon, JoAnn Garrett and Linda Nelson, both of Evansville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph (Sharon) Juncker of Mt. Vernon, Robert (Francine) Juncker of Franklin, IN; and a sister, Joyce (John) Walling of LaFayette, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Steven Nation and Vicky Campbell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home, 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon, IN. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Caborn Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
