Donald A. Colson, 66 of Carmi, passed away Tuesday morning September 5, 2017 at Enfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 10, 1951 in East Prairie, MO the son of Joe and Freddie Jo Colson. He married Shannon Biggerstaff on September 26, 1992.
Don was the owner operator of SCS Excavating. He was a member of McLeansboro Elks Lodge 1882. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Nascar.
He is survived by his wife, Shannon; his mother, Freddie Jo; daughters, Kynda (Thom) Ray, Donna Colson, Keirah (Larry) McWilliams and Danah (Dan) Radke; nine grandchildren, his sister, Sherry (Gale) Forman; mother-in-law, Shirley Biggerstaff; sister-in-laws, Sharla (Jerrod) Barton and Sheila (Dan) Russell; seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Colson and his father-in-law, John Robert Biggerstaff.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery in Enfield. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10:45 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield.
