Donald Barton

Donald Barton, 77, of Norris City, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was born May 25, 1936 in White County, IL, the son of Maurice Legier and Ruby Vivian (Robinson) Barton. Donald married Erma Mae Newman on June 2, 1956 and she survives. He was a carpenter, farmer and operated a TV repair shop. Donald was a member of Enfield General Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Erma Barton of Norris City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and David Hucker of Norris City and Debra Mae and Kent Johnson of Findley, OH; a son, Michael Glenn Barton of Norris City; a brother and sister-in-law, Garry and Gail Barton of Norris City; six grandchildren, Cambria Blaize, Rhyanna Harris, Aaron and Kory Johnson, Mindy Jolley and Joshua Barton; ten great-grandchildren; and five nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Donald Barton, 77, of Norris City will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Dan Atkinson and Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery in Norris City. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to Enfield General Baptist Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
