Delores Pennington

Delores "Dobie" Pennington, 85, of Norris City passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 9:40 a.m. at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born January 11, 1927 in Mt. Vernon, IN the daughter of Robert and Hazel (Lloyd) Vines. Dobie married Frank W. Pennington on January 31, 1945. She was a homemaker and retired as a caregiver with Community Care.
Dobie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Frank of Norris City; a daughter and son-in-law, Roberta Gayle and Bob Moore of Ravenden Springs, AR; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd Edward and Marilyn Pennington and Tracy Neal and Terri Pennington all of Evansville, IN; a daughter-in-law, Velma Pennington of Crossville and 30 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Frank W. Pennington, Jr on November 26, 2004, a sister, Rosalee Bowles and a brother, Leroy Vines.
Private Funeral Services for Delores "Dobie" Pennington will be held at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with burial in Plainview Cemetery near Norris City. Friends may call at the Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 71, 905 S. 12th St., Herrin, IL 62948 and will be accepted at the funeral home.
