David Vines

David Vines, 40, of Carmi passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Fairfield, IL on September 17, 1976 the son of George Earl and Linda Carol (Kelly) Vines. David was a 1994 graduate of Norris City-Omaha-Enfield High School. He had worked in Real Estate and Finance.
David is survived by his parents, George and Linda Vines of Burnt Prairie; two sisters, Kelli (Billy Belangee) Smothers of Fairfield and Kristine (John) Whetstone of Burnt Prairie; a half-sister, Joyce (Kevin) York of Princeton, IN; his paternal grandmother, Annie Lucille Vines of Carmi; and several nieces and nephews, including locally, Bethany Beadles, Erin Smothers, Braden Brockett and Aiden Whetstone.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Velmer William and Alice Nadine Kelly and his paternal grandfather, Luther Vines.
Graveside funeral services and burial for David Vines, 40, of Carmi will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City. Memorial contributions may be made in David's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
