David Scott Rhoads, 34, of Mt. Vernon, left this world for his heavenly home on Sunday, May 15th at his home in his room. David was born March 21, 1971 in Evansville, IN.
David was dearly loved by many people, He was personality plus. Social activities he loved, included eating at Hacienda West, Penn Station, his soap opera, Days of Our Lives, Monday Night Wrestling, dances sponsored by ARC, Camp Brosend, music, Special Olympics, putt putt, his birthdays, hugs and kisses, family and dear friends that have always been there for him.
Leaving behind to mourn are his parents Larry and Linda Rhoads, One older brother, Mark “The Boy†Rhoads; a sister Susan “Suzi†Tucker and his brother-in-law, Aaron that he loved like a brother. But the joy of his life was being Uncle Dave to his niece, Nicole Eryn Tucker “Baby Co†and his nephew, Carson Neal Tucker all of Mt. Vernon, IN. Also surviving are his Uncle Roger “The Cop†and Aunt Synda Waters, Uncle Walter and Aunt Linda Waters all of Mt. Vernon, Uncle Carlos and Aunt Nina Haskins of Evansville, IN, David’s Grandmother Marguerite Rhoads Appel of Enfield, IL and his wonderful cousins, Bryan, Robert, Savannah and Janelle Waters and Holly Cox. The family would like to thank everyone that has loved our very special Dave.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street Mt. Vernon, IN with Rev. Troy DeKemper officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 17, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery in White County, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to ARC, Camp Brosend and Vista Care Hospice
