David Midkiff

David G. Midkiff, 65, of Norris City passed away January 29, 2012 at 11:20 a.m. at his residence. He was born January 1, 1947 in Norris City, IL the son of Leamon and Adella (Hendrix) Midkiff. David married Trina Marie Zook on June 8, 1974. He retired as a railroad contractor and had previously been a salesmen and plant manager with Athenia Plastics. David joined the U.S. Navy on June 28, 1965 and served during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on June 28, 1969. He was a member of Norris City Christian Church.

David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Trina of Norris City; a daughter and son-in-law, Trina Adel and Beau Sturm of Revere, MA; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Troy David and Felicia Midkiff of Beverly, MA and Adam Jacob Midkiff of San Antonio, TX; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Esther Coupel and Dana and Bill Smith all of Norris City, Virginia Remes of Virginia Beach, VA and Faye and Gary Thomas of Harrisburg, IL; a brother and a sister-in-law, Denver and "Choco" Midkiff of Seattle, WA; and two grandchildren, John David and Violet Adella Midkiff.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Ozna, Thomas and James Midkiff.

A memorial service for David G. Midkiff, 65, of Norris City will be Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Joe Skaggs officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Norris City. Friends may call at the Campbell Funeral Home after 1:00 pm on Wednesday.
