David L. Konsler, age 66 of New Harmony, IN and formerly of Henderson, KY, died Friday afternoon May 30, 2008 at his home. He was born October 21, 1941 at Henderson, KY, the son of John and Vina (Gingell) Konsler.
Mr. Konsler had been a crane operator most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Henderson, KY and attended the Point Township Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon, IN.
David is survived by his wife, Kathyrn (Bryant) Konsler; two daughters and son-in-law, Sharmari and Bill Parker of Hanson, KY and Crista Konsler of Mount Vernon; three step-sons, Larry Lingafelter of Griffin, IN, Bryan Lingafelter and Mark Lingafelter both of Wadesville, IN; two step-daughters, Kathy Wiltshire of New Harmony, IN and Kimberly Kern of Texarkana, TX; three grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kitty Lowery Rhodes of Niceville, FL and Susie Risley Hill of Henderson, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents and three half brothers, Sam, Dorris and Charles Wahl.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday June 2, 2008 at the Austin Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, IN with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery at Henderson, KY. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Point Township Church of the Nazarene.
