Name: David “Duck" Duckworth
Age: 76 of Evansville

Died October 13, 2007 at his home.

David was born July 24, 1931 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Roy and Clara (Hahn) Duckworth. He was a graduate of Bosse High School. He retired as a Staff Sergeant from the United States Air Force after 21 years. He served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the “Jolly Green Giants” Vietnam Search and Rescue helicopter squad picking up wounded soldiers.
After his retirement from the military, he worked as a Claims Representative for WorkOne of Evansville. He was a member of the VFW 1114 in Evansville, and was of the Baptist Faith.
David was a very patriotic man who was devoted to his family and friends. He loved the outdoors and his favorite place to visit was Gatlinburg Tennessee. His Great Grandchildren affectionately called him Pa-Paw Ducky.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years: Elizabeth B. (Baker) Duckworth

1 Grandson: Eric S. Tasa and his wife Mandy

Very dear family friends: The Downey’s, the Bogard’s and the Lockhart’s.
An Airforce friend Dan Prince and his wife Helen of Connecticut.

Funeral Services will be 1 pm, Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Heritage Chapel 2200 Mesker Park Drive in Evansville, with Reverend David Heard officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call 10:00 am until service time, Tuesday, October 16, 2007, in the Heritage Chapel.
