David Crawford

Biography

David Aaron Crawford, 33 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Sunday August 3, 2014. He was born May 12, 1981 in Evansville, the son of Danny and Sue (Crawford) Lashley.

David was a Certified Diesel Mechanic. He had worked for Peterbilt and most recently Whayne Supply. He worked for many area farmers. He loved coaching girls softball and working on hotrods with his dad. He had served as an Almond Counselor. He spent a lot of time with his beagle, Kiwi. He loved his family. He was a member of Point Township Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his daughter, Malia Crawford; his parents, Danny and Sue Lashley of Mt. Vernon; his sister, Kady (Dakota) Blankenship of Mt. Vernon; uncles and aunts, Don (Ruth) Crawford, Gene (Cathy) Crawford, Dorris Crawford, Darwin (Gail) Lashley and Nancy (Lawrence) Tenbarge; numerous cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ivan and Mary Crawford and Darwin and Betty Lashley.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday August 6, 2014 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon with Rev. Dallas Robinson and Rev. Troy DeKemper officiating.
