David Aud

David Thurman Aud, 77, of Carmi, passed away on Tuesday April 20, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.  He was born on September 2, 1943, the son of Thurman Elsworth "Diner" and Alma Louise (Hillyard) Aud.  David graduated from Carmi Township High School in 1961.  He then went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1962 to 1966.  David married Raynita Walker on June 18, 1965, and she survives. He worked as a  construction supervisor offshore for Phillips 66 until he retired in 1995.  David enjoyed spending time and golfing with his brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Raynita (Walker) Aud; his son, David Alan (Tammy) Aud of Dallas TX.; one daughter Gina Rae Aud of Hollywood, FL.; grandchildren, Devon James Aud, Sergio David Lopez, Jonathan Ray Lopez, Ryan Purcell, Makenna Purcell Aud and Mandie (Sterling) Turner; one great grandchild, Ellie Turner; two brothers, Darrell (Linda) Aud and Dannie (Nancy) Aud all of Carmi, IL.; and one sister, Linda (Ronnie) Branstetter.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services for David Thurman Aud, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday April 23, 2021, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with burial and full Military Rites at West Union Cemetery in Carmi. Family and Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until time of service. Contributions can be made in David's memory to The Gary Sinise Foundation, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
