Dakota Mayberry

     Dakota Mayberry, 36, Norris City passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. He was born in Evansville, IN on December 11, 1986 the son of Stanley Lee and Diana Jo (Austin) Mayberry.  Dakota married Sharon M. Mosley on March 24, 2016. Dakota graduated from NCOE High School in 2004.  He went on to work to work as a coal miner from 12 years, before going to work for Enbridge Pipeline the past 5 years. Dakota was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting and looking for deer sheds. 

     Dakota is survived by his wife, Sharon; his parents, Stan and Diana Mayberry of Norris City; four children, Timothy Wright of Union County, KY, Danielle (Alex Miller) Wright of Carmi, Michelle Powell of Norris City and Claira Ray Powell of Norris City; siblings, Tracy Kramer of Norris City and Dallas Mayberry of Indiana; and a grandchild, Hazel Wright.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Barbara Anne Austin, paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Irma Mayberry and a sister, Jenni Diana Farris.

    A memorial service for Dakota Mayberry, 36, of Norris City will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 22, 2023 in Ditney Ridge Cemetery, 750 County Road 500 East, Norris City, IL 62869, with a luncheon to be served immediately following the service in Ditney Ridge Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dakota's memory to the NCOE FFA and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, PO Box 398, Norris City, IL 62869 who is in charge of arrangements.
