Dacre Hertel

Dacre Morgan Hertel, 24, of Mt. Carmel, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Wabash General Hospital. She was born in Evansville, IN on March 20, 1994 the daughter of Robert Edgar "Eddie" Hertel and Terri Schubnell Poplin. She graduated from Kings Word Academy in Norris City. Dacre was a homemaker.

Dacre is survived by a daughter, Maggie Parrish; boyfriend, Anthony Parrish, of Mt. Carmel; mother, Terri Poplin, of Carmi; three sisters, Kailee Rettinghaus, Peyton Sage and Sheridan Sage,all of Carmi; brother, Chris Poplin, of Myrtle Beach,SC; grandmother, Laura Schubnell, of Carmi; nephew, Ne'Monoum Rettinghaus; and step-father Robbie Poplin. She was preceded in death by infant son, William Gray Hertel, infant daughter, MariAnn Laura Lynn Parrish and her father Eddie Hertel.

A graveside funeral and burial for Dacre Morgan Hertel will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2018 at Melrose Cemetery in Carmi. Memorial contributions may be made in Dacre's memory to Campbell Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
