Crystal Groves

Crystal T. Groves, 38 of Rankin, IL and formerly of Mt. Vernon, IN, passed away April 21, 2016 at her home. She was born April 18, 1978 in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Antonia (Garcia) Groves.
Crystal had worked as a CNA for various nursing homes. She was a loving, caring person who always put others before herself.
She is survived by her father, Charles "Chuck" (Linda) Groves; her son, Lucas Long; her sisters, Angelique (Marlin) Esche, Meagan Groves, Heather Schofield, Aimee (Dave) Johnston; brother, Christopher Garza; her step father, Sonny Henson; many niece, nephews, cousins and great friends; and her boyfriend, Robert Redmond. She was preceded in death by her mother, Antonia "Tina" Groves, her paternal and maternal grandparents; her brother, Hector Garza and sister, Victoria Garza.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday April 25, 2016 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Per her wishes, Crystal will be cremated after services. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
