Corwin Ward

    Corwin Wayne Ward, 61, of Mill Shoals, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. He was born on November 4, 1962, in Wood River, Illinois, the son of Joe and Marie (Patton) Ward. Corwin proudly served his country in the United States Army during Desert Storm. He worked as a tool and dye maker. Corwin enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing guitar.

    Corwin is survived by his children, Ashley (Richard) Mobley of Enfield, IL. and Austin (Ashley Ricketts) Ward of Carmi, IL; grandchildren, Whitley Jordan and Corinne Jordan; siblings, Connie Johnson of Carmi, IL. and Angie Blair of Carbondale; and a dear friend, Susie Mullins of Springerton, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Sherry Moss.

    A graveside memorial service with full military rites provided by the Carmi VFW and American Legion, will be held for Corwin Ward, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Adkin Cemetery in Omaha, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Corwin's memory to Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi to assist the family with expenses. Donations may also be mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821.
