Clyde Edwin Maurer

     Clyde Edwin Maurer, 84, of Carmi, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born in Carmi, the son of Raymond George and Moudine Elizabeth (Bloodworth) Maurer. Clyde married Evone L. Garcia, and she precedes him in death.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Clyde worked at Champion Laboratories as a security guard.  He was a member of the McHenry United Methodist Church.

      Clyde is survived byhis children, Louis (Iris) Maurer of Hanover, MD, Rosie (Tom) Jensen of Vacaville, CA, Raymond Maurer of Carmi, IL, and Ernie Ortiz of Questa, NM; eight grandchildren; a brother Ronald Maurer of  Carmi, IL; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evone Maurer; and a brother, Dennis Maurer.

     Funeral services for Clyde Maurer will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In Lieu of Flowers Contributions may be made in Clyde's Memory to McHenry United Methodist Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home who is in charge of the arrangements.
