Clinton Everett Clark, 92, of Carmi, passed away at 9:51 p.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi. He was born in Enfield, IL on November 21, 1925 the son of Curtis Eldred and Ethel (McCarthy) Clark. He married Betty Winkleman on June 22, 1947 and she preceded him in death on March 16, 2011. Clinton was a US Army veteran serving during WW II. He had worked maintenance for Contel.
Clinton is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Oliver and Debbie Hon both of Carmi; son, Marty Clark of Carmi; eight grandchildren, John Oliver, Jollee Cleveland, Jason Oliver, Patrick and Kyle Hon and Zack, Holly and Linzy Clark; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Clark, his parents, Curtis and Ethel Clark, two brothers, Curtis and Cupel Clark and five sisters, Hope Williams, Violet Miller, Clover Jugan, Love Dunaway and Dixie Shawhan.
Funeral service for Clinton Everett Clark, 92, of Carmi will be held at 3:00 p.m on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden with Military Rites by Carmi VFW and American Legion. Visitation will be on November 25, 2017 after 2:00 p.m. until service time at Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Clinton's memory to the Disabled American Veterans and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
