Claudine Sell

      Claudine Sell, 89, of Norris City passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL. She was born in Brownsville, IL on April 23, 1934 the daughter of Claud Dee and Nellie (Storey) Shaw.  Claudine married Aaron Eugene "Gene" Sell on April 18, 1954 and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2007.  She had worked as a bank teller prior to starting her family, when she became a farm wife. Claudine was a member of Wesley Chapel. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking.

     Claudine is survived by her two sons, Dennis Sell and Scott (Beth) Sell all of Norris City; two grandchildren, Kyle Sell and Brooke (Matt) Gage; two nieces, Kay Roser and Marsha Moye; along with several great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Timothy Dean Sell; grandson, Andrew Sell, a sister, Ruth Sell and a nephew, Mike Sell.

     Funeral services for Claudine Sell, 89, of Norris City will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will follow in West Union Cemetery near Carmi.  Friends and family may gather on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at noon at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Claudine's memory to  the Beulah Church Camp in Eldorado and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821
