Christopher Kern

Christopher Lee “Chris” Kern, age 32 of Mt. Vernon, IN, died Tuesday February 2, 2010. He was born October 17, 1977 in Evansville, the son of Larry “Danny” and Carolyn (Green) Kern.


Chris was a self employed construction worker. He loved to fish and hunt. His loving laugh and infectious personality affected everyone he met. He attended the Apostolic Bible Church at Stewartsville.


He is survived by one son, Cory Kern of Wadesville; his parents, Danny and Carolyn Kern of Mt. Vernon; two brothers and sister-in-law, David and Vickie Kern of Evansville and Keith Goodwin of Mt. Vernon; two sisters and brother-in-law, Angela Wilhite of Mt. Vernon and Tracy and David Goldman of Stewartsville; his girlfriend Crystal and her children, Brittany and Kristian of Wadesville. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.


Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday February 6, 2010 at the Apostolic Bible Church in Stewartsville with Rev. David Goldman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Griffin. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday February 5, 2010 at the Austin~Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon.
