Christina Harre

Christina "Chris" Harre, 60, of Carbondale, passed away December 12, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Carmi on August 14, 1957 the daughter of William Robert and Cassie Evelyn (Paschel) Harre. Chris was a 1975 graduate of Carmi Community High School and was a graduate of Southern Illinois University.  She was a clerical administrative assistant for Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Chris was an active member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Carbondale.

Chris is survived by two brothers, Douglas (Susan) Harre, of Henderson, KY and James (Brenda) Harre, of Borger, TX; two sisters, Robin (David) Hall, of Trout Valley, IL and Mary Zacharias, of Seattle, WA and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cassie Harre, a brother, Thomas Harre, a sister, Elsie Champion and a brother-in-law, Jay Zacharias.

A memorial service for Christina "Chris" Harre will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Crossville. Memorial contributions may be made in Chris' memory to Humane Society of Southern Illinois, 95 Humane Rd., Murphysboro, IL 62966 and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
