Charlotte Mattingly

Charlotte Mattingly, age 68 of Mt. Vernon, died Thursday morning January 21, 2010 at Deaconess Hospice in Evansville. She was born July 9, 1941 in Louisville KY, the daughter of Connie Lee and Mary Bell (Stevens) Bratcher.


Charlotte was an avid bingo and card player. She loved to go fishing. Her children and grandchildren were her treasure in life.


She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Heather and Joseph Stinson of Carmi, IL and Misty Riordan of Mt. Vernon; five grandchildren, Justin Rutledge, Shelby Riordan, Dyllan Riordan, Shelby Joseph Stinson and Jerrod Stinson; one brother, Carroll Bratcher.


Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday January 24, 2010 at the Austin~Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th Street, Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to, Posey County Humaine Society and Riley Children’s Hospital.
