Charles McCluskey

Charles O. McCluskey, 97, of Moweaqua formerly of Carmi, IL passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born March 3, 1916 in Ullin, IL the son of Charles Henry and Lydia May (Loven) McCluskey. Charles married Lillian Leora Blazier on September 28, 1940 and she preceded him in death on November 22, 2007. He had worked as a pumper for Superior Oil Company and attended Moweaqua First United Methodist Church.
Charles is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sue Goodpaster of Moweaqua and Keitha and Larry Manering of Piedmont, OK; a sister, Rose Griffin of Winter Springs, FL; two grandchildren, Angela Beth Johnson and her husband Jason, and Michelle Walker and her husband Chris; and one great-grandson, Kevin Walker.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Hayward McCluskey, sister, Flora May Wagner and a grandson, Kevin Manering.
A Graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013 at White County Memorial Garden in Carmi. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Moweaqua Public Library, 600 N. Putnam St,, Moweaqua, IL 62550 or the Moweaqua First United Methodist Church Choir, 222 N. Hanover St., Moweaqua, IL 62550. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
