Charles Ditterline

Charles R. Ditterline, 54, of Carmi passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 4:12 pm at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. Charles was born November 15, 1957 in Eldorado, IL the son of Robert and Ruby (Newman) Ditterline. He married Sherri Dawn Marler on June 26, 1981. Charles had worked as a coal miner at the Patiki Mine and for Frontier Kemper.
Charles is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sherri Dawn of Carmi; two daughters, April Dawn Miller and her husband Damion of Crossville and Charly Ditterline and her companion Shane Miller of Carmi; a sister, Katie Lampert of Shawneetown; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Linda Ditterline of Tulsa, OK, Burnie and Janice Ditterline of Junction, Jimmy and Terri Ditterline of Carrier Mills and Ralph and Reva Ditterline of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Brianna Ditterline, Callie Miller, Gabriella Miller, Carson Miller and Owen Keith Ray Miller and his mother-in-law, Patsy Marler of Carmi.
Funeral Services for Charles R. Ditterline, 54, of Carmi will be Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10:00 am at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with the Rev. Robert Pollard officiating. Burial will be in Hogan Cemetery near Shawneetown, IL. Friends may call at the Campbell Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
