Cecil Waters, Jr.

Cecil R. Waters, Jr., 64 of Mount Vernon, IN passed away Monday July 18, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born July 28, 1951 in Evansville, the son of Cecil R. and Martha (Utley) Waters, Sr.
Cecil had been a fireman and served as fire chief for the City of Mt. Vernon for many years. He collected and sold many antiques as a hobby. He served on the board of directors of Cloverleaf. He was a very active member of the Posey County Democratic Party.
He is survived by his brothers, Roger (Synda) Waters and Walter (Linda) Waters; sister, Linda (Larry) Rhoads; and is aunt Wilma Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Becky Jones.
Funeral services will he held at 11 a.m. on Friday July 22, 2016 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon with Rev. Rick Brock officiating.
