Carolyn Duckworth

Carolyn Sue Duckworth, 73, of Enfield, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 3:30 a.m. at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born August 26, 1940 in Burnt Prairie, IL, the daughter of Herman Theodore and Stella Mae (Funkhouser) Vaupel. She married Noel Gene Duckworth October 18, 1958. She was a homemaker and a member of Enfield Christian Church.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Noel Duckworth of Enfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Jeff Patton of Elba, NE, three sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Linda Duckworth of Enfield, Roger and Connie Duckworth of Wayne City, and Rick and Debbie Duckworth of Enfield; a sister and brother-in-law Pat and Bob Duckworth of Carmi; four brothers and a sister-in-law, E. Harwood Vaupel of Oklahoma, Ted Vaupel of Fairfield, Wayne and Peggy Vaupel of McLeansboro, and Bobby Vaupel of Grayville; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Carolyn Sue Duckworth, 73, of Enfield, will be Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Braden Willis officiating. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Memorial gifts may be given, in Carolyn's name, to Campbell Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
