Carol Lee (Langenwalter) Bell, 79, of Carmi, passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at her residence. She was born April 25, 1936 in Highland, IL, the daughter of Harold William and Alma Pauline (Frey) Langenwalter. Carol graduated from Highland High School in 1954 and went on to graduate in 1957 from Washington University School of Nursing-Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. She worked as a registered nurse at Wabash Christian Retirement Center and later served as Assistant Director of Nurses and Director of Nurses. Carol was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Carmi, H.C.E. Home Extension, White County Historical Society and Carmi Culture Club.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Keith Sauls of Norris City; a son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Cheryl Jenny, Jr. of Carmi; five grandchildren, Samuel Lee Jenny, III and wife, Chasity, Robert William Sauls, Richard Raymond Sauls, Katie Renee Sauls and fiance', Michael Richard Klaus and John Walter Martin; a great-granddaughter, Jasmine Star Allen; and several cousins. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Lynn Harold Langenwalter.

Funeral services for Carol Lee Bell, 79, of Carmi, will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in Carmi with Rev, Elizabeth Moses officiating, Friends may call on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Keystone Cemetery in St. Jacob, IL.

Memorial contributions may be made in Carol's memory to First Presbyterian Church in Carmi or Pets At Risk, P.O. Box 2, Carmi, IL 62821 and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
