Brent Thomas

Brent Thomas, 35, of Carmi, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 8:35 p.m. in Crossville. He was born June 13, 1978 in Carmi, the son of Michael Lee and Julie (Duvall) Thomas. Brent graduated from Carmi White County High School in 1996. He was of the baptist faith. Brent was a certified Harley Davidson mechanic and a bartender. He was loved by his family and friends and was full of life.

Brent is survived by his mother, Julie Melton of Carmi; his father, Mike Thomas and girlfriend, Lynn Abbey both of Carmi; grandparents, Bob and Inez Duvall of Carmi; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Adam and Samantha Melton of Lawrence, Kansas and Benjamin Thomas of Crystal Lake, IL; aunts and uncles, Diana and Ferrell Anderson, Jami James and Brenda and Larry Huff all of Carmi; and several cousins. He was a proud uncle to his special niece, Kayla Melton.

Brent was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Pat Duvall and Dorothy Thomas.

Funeral services for Brent Thomas, 35, of Carmi, will be Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Father Scott Duvall officiating. Burial will be in Kingdom Cemetery near Carmi. Friends may call on Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
