Bonnie Petty

Bonnie Jean Petty,71, of New Haven, IL, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2007, at her home. Bonnie was born April 1, 1935 in Crittenden County, KY daughter of the late George and Opal (Kirk) Clayton. Bonnie was Miss Posey County in 1953. She was preceded by husband, Gene Petty in 2002; a brother, Norman Clayton and sisters, Georgia Marvel and Thelma Wright
She is survived by her sons, Dale Darr, Chuck and Larry Hester all of Mt. Vernon, IN; daughters, Jean Cummings of Mt. Vernon, IN, Sheila Hester Watts of Norris City, IL and Amy Hester of New Haven, IL.; a sister, Mildred Juncker and her husband Lloyd of Mt. Vernon, IN, a sister in law, Shirley Clayton of Evansville, IN; 14 grandchildren, one serving in Iraq with the military and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, January 8, 2006 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street, Mt. Vernon, IN with burial in Bethsaida Cemetery near Stewartsville, IN. Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 7, at the funeral home.
