Bonnie Long

      Bonnell Marie Long, 64, of Norris City, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at home. Bonnie was born on August 18, 1958, in Eldorado, Illinois, the daughter of William Vonnell and Barbara Joyce (Morris) Long. She was a 1976 Graduate of Norris City-Omaha High School and attended First Southern Baptist Church in Norris City. Bonnie enjoyed taking care of her pets, watching birds in nature and reading. She loved spending time with her family.

     Survivors include, her children, Matt (Dawn) Long of Norris City, IL and Jacqueline (Julie) Biggs of Carbondale, IL; three grandchildren, Matthew Long of Carmi, IL, Preston Long of Norris City, IL and Holden Shepard of Carbondale, IL; a great-grandson Kody Long of Carmi, IL, four siblings, Desira (Greg) Purcell of Norris City, IL, Kathy (Keith) Millspaugh of Newton, IL, Barbara (Earl) McKenzie of Norris City, IL and Cheryle (Rand) Walters Norris City IL; her companion Dayne Clark of Evansville, IN and many Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Farin Long.

     To celebrate Bonnie’s life, a private family gathering with burial in Old Prairie/Lick Creek Cemetery near Norris City will be held. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of the arrangements.
