Bobby G. Whoberry, 81 of Evansville, passed away Thursday afternoon January 12, 2017 at his home. He was born August 26, 1935 in Mt. Vernon, the son of William Henry and Zella (Duvall) Whoberry. He married Cindy McCormick on March 29, 1958 in Mt. Vernon.
Bobby worked as a Union Painter out of Local 156 until his retirement. He served in the Army National Guard. He loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughters, Sandy Trainer, Linda Dyson and Teresa Floyd; grandchildren Amy Acuff, Andy Whoberry, Ashley White, Brandon Whoberry and Bobby Graham; fourteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald, Elmer, Kenny, Dennis and Charles Whoberry; sisters, Frieda Coleman, Kathryn Lieshman and Doris Wells. He was preceded in death by twin brothers, and his sisters, Helen Bauman and Martha Malin.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday January 16, 2017 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
