Bobby Mattingly

Bobby Wayne Mattingly, 61 of Mt. Vernon, IN died at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN on Sunday evening, July 13, 2008. He was born on January 20, 1947 in Henderson, Kentucky, the son of the late Robert and Betty (Dorio) Mattingly.

Bobby retired 2003 after 28 years of service at Westech Fencing. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, his “little Suzie Woo” (his granddaughter), and his little dogs, CJ, TJ and Oreo.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Judy (Rowe) Mattingly, a son, Robby and his wife, Jody, a granddaughter, Susan Hines, his step-mother, Sue Mattingly, one brother, Micah Crooks and his wife, Roxanna, one sister, Sandy Nelson and her husband, John. He is also survived several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Austin Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Reverend Myers Hyman officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery at Mt. Vernon. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
