Bob Healy, 78, longtime business owner of Enfield, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at his residence in Enfield. He was born May 31, 1933 in White County, IL, the son of Edgar and Gladys (Lee) Healy. Bob married Mabel Doris Stone on May 31, 1957 and she survives. He started Healy Electric, Inc. in 1970 and continued working until he became ill. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Enfield Christian Church, a leader in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and active in the Kory League. Bob was a charter member of the Enfield Lions Club and served as district governor of 1-CN (2000-2001) and a cabinet member. He was a board member of L.W.A.V.C. Bob was a past member of the Village of Enfield Board and Enfield Fire Department. He most enjoyed activities with his five grandchildren and going fishing.

Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mabel Healy of Enfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Erika Healy of Enfield and John and Angie Healy of Carmi; five grandchildren, Amanda Healy of Evansville, IN, Amber Healy of Carmi and Sarah, Evan and Erik Healy all of Enfield; two sisters-in-law, Joan Stone of McLeansboro and Sandy McKenzie of Gladstone, MO; nieces, Joan (Don) Gibson of Enfield, Dorothy Wheeler of Norris City, Ginger (Jerry) Sorenson of Elgin, Debby (Kenny) Richardson of Gladstone, MO, Lucille Hillyard of Enfield and Tina (Terry) Robertson of Fairfield; and nephews, Tommy (Maryanne) Healy of Elgin, Danny (Rhoda) Dennis of Enfield, Jack (Debby) Stone of Enfield, Wayne McKenzie of Gladstone, MO and Ron (Shirley) Mullikin of Independence, MO.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Ezra Healy and James (Virginia) Healy; two sisters, Alma (Willis) Cusic and Dorothy (George) Mullikin; and two brothers-in-law, Jack Stone and Wayne McKenzie.

Funeral services for Bob Healy, 78, of Enfield, will be Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Enfield Christian Church with Larry Woodrow officiating. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery with military rites by Carmi VFW and American Legion.. Friends may call on Saturday, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at Enfield Christian Church.

Memorial gifts may be given in Bob's name to Camp Manitowa, Lions Club of Illinois, for Blind and Deaf Youth and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
