Beulah Muriel (Catlin) Pool, 91, of Beavercreek, OH formerly of Norris City passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Trinity Community Beavercreek in Beavercreek, OH. She was born March 24, 1922 in Herald, IL to the late Rev. Otto S. and Stella B. (Bryant) Catlin. Beulah married Dennie M. Pool, Jr. on June 1, 1940 and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1994. She was a dedicated wife and mother of four children. She worked at Sommers Metalcraft in Crawfordsville, IN for over 10 years. Her passion in life was singing and music. Beginning at a young age she sang on the local radio near Norris City. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Norris City where her father, Rev. Otto Catlin, preached.

Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Karlton L. Pool, granddaughter, Denia S. Allen; grandson, William D. Robertson; and a sister, Blanche Heathcock.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryle S. (Mike) Hatke of Cocoa, FL. and Debbie Kruer of Dayton, OH; a son, Alan Vance Pool of League City, TX; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandsons; and two brothers, Dwight Catlin of Norris City and Guthrie Catlin of Louisville, KY.

Funeral services for Beulah Muriel (Catlin) Pool will be Friday, September 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with Rev. Dennis Reed officiating. Burial will be in Ditney Ridge Cemetery in Norris City. Friends may call on Friday after 9:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
