Betty Joyce Wright, 80 of Danville, IL and formerly of Carmi and Enfield, passed away Tuesday August 1, 2017 in Urbana. She was born on September 13, 1936 in Carmi, the daughter of Lawrence E. and Jessie Pearl (Koontz) Sturms. She married Ronald L. Wright on February 22, 1958 and he preceded her in death on October 14, 1984.
She was a homemaker. She belonged to Cherry Street Church in Carmi.
She is survived by sons, James (Jo) Dilbeck and Michel (Debbie) Dilbeck; daughters, Steffanie (Willie) Cooper, Carolyn Sue (Wesley) Evans, Mary Ann (Bobbie) Marse, Jr., and Brenda Kay Dilbeck; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and sister, Jessie Marie South. She was preceded by sons, Bobby Lee Wright and Michael A. Wright and sister, Ella Mae Bradshaw.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kingdom Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
