Betty McKenzie

Betty McKenzie, 88 of Norris City passed away at 8:40 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2016 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born on November 11, 1927 in Norris City the daughter of William Norris and Mary Grace (Phillips) Bruce. Betty married James Ronald McKenzie on May 28, 1955 and he preceded her in death on September 2, 1977. She was of the Methodist faith and had worked as a clerk at Marlin's Store, Shopper's Center and Ben Franklin.

Betty is survived by three daughters, Gae Stoops of Greenwood, IN, Barbara McKenzie and Donna McKenzie both of Norris City; and two grandchildren, Caitlin and Meredith Stoops. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Bruce and a brother, William Edward Bruce..

Funeral Services for Betty McKenzie, 88, of Norris City will be at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.on Tuesday at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674 and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
