Betty Clark

Betty L. Clark 83 of Carrier Mills and formerly of Carmi, passed away Monday March 23, 2015 at Harrisburg Medical Center. She was born April 19, 1931 in Springerton, the daughter of Grover and Pearl (Seifried) York. She married Charles Cecil Clark on December 28, 1948 in Carmi and he preceded her in death on November 13, 2000.

Betty had worked as a greeter at Walmart for over 25 years.

She is survived by her son, Charles Scott (Karen Sue) Clark of Carrier Mills, daughter, Jacquelyn Leuellen of Carmi; two grandchildren, Matthew Scott Clark and Heather Juenger; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Dillon and Jared Wayne Page and Liam Noble Batty; her brother, Melvin and Betty Jo York of Carmi; sister, Violet Smith of Carmi. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Ray York and Clayton York and sisters, Bernadine Phillips, Maxine Oliver, Beulah Gentry and Louise Melvin.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday March 27, 2015 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Hammack Cemetery at Springerton. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
