Becky L. Hunt

      Becky Lorraine (Lamp) Hunt, 83, passed away June 9, 2023 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi.  She was born April 15, 1940 in Enfield, IL the daughter of Lydia (Martin) Lamp.  She married Kenneth Hunt in December 1980 and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2020.  Becky was a 1957 graduate of Enfield High School and one of the last graduating nursing classes at St. Mary's School of Nursing  in Evansville, IN. Becky worked in various RN jobs for over 40 years.  She and her husband were involved if the food pantry ministry for over 30 years.  She enjoyed arts and crafts and made numerous quilts for her grandchildren.

     Along with her late husband, Becky was a genealogy buff.  She arranged many flowers for Memorial Day honoring ancestors to the Civil War and beyond.  She attended the United Methodist Church in Energy, IL prior to moving to Carmi. She lived the last two years at Wabash Christian Supportive Living in Carmi and enjoyed making new friends.

     Becky is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Fred Belford of Rosiclare, IL; a brother, George Curt Lamp of Norris City; step-daughters, Sheilah (Hunt) and Dennis Neal of Norris City and  Debra (Hunt) and Richard Wilson of Broughton, IL; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her husband, Kenneth Hunt, Becky was preceded in death by her mother, a daughter, Kelly Lynn Wolf and a sister-in-law, Patty Lamp.

     Graveside Funeral services for Becky Lorraine (Lamp) Hunt will be held at 12:30 p.m., Monday, June 12, 2023 in Gholson Cemetery near Broughton.  Friends and family may visit on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Becky's memory to Wabash Christian Supportive Living, 532 Abelson Dr., Carmi, IL 62821 or can be mailed to Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
