Barbara Heath

Barbara S. Heath, age 71 of Mt. Vernon, IN died Friday afternoon March 25, 2011 at the Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 23, 1939 in Posey County, the daughter of Arthur Allen and Jeanetta Pearl (Bradley) Heath.


Barbara worked for over 30 years as a mail clerk at G.E. in Mt. Vernon. She was a member of First Holiness Church.


She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Gary Smith of Canal Fulton, OH; one brother, Virgil Ray Heath of San Diego, CA; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; very special friends, Sue Terrill, Kay Nation & Bill Little and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, David Lee Heath, Harold Allen Heath, Sr., Ronald Eugene Heath and Kenneth Gerald Heath, Sr.


Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday March 29, 2011 at the Austin~Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon with Rev. Ronald Myers officiating. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at austinfuneralhome.com
