Audra E. Jordan, 90, of Grants Pass, OR, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at her residence. She was born March 27, 1925, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky where she grew up. Audra attended Charleston High School in Charleston, Kentucky. At age 16, she moved to Evansville, IN and worked in a restaurant where she met Jack Jordan. They were married November 6, 1942 in Kentucky. They moved all over the Midwest and in 1962 settled in Cincinnati, OH. After her husband retired in 1981 they eventually moved to Norris City, IL. In 2005 Audra moved from Norris City to Grants Pass following her husband's death. She was a member of Crossroads Bible Church in Norris City. Audra enjoyed oil painting and was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Jordan of Grants Pass; three sons, Jack Jordan of Laurel, MT, Rodger Jordan of Grants Pass, and Frank Jordan of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack.
Graveside funeral and burial services for Audra E. Jordan, 90, of Grants Pass, OR, will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in McLeansboro, Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of local arrangements.
