Arnold Sinnett

Arnold Sinnett, 92, of Posey County, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family Tuesday morning.

The World War II Army veteran was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Indiana. Charter member, and Deacon of West Terrace General Baptist Church since 1963. Member of Mason Buleah Lodge #578 since 1964. Former member of Scottish Rite and the Hadi Shrine where he was on the hospital staff. He worked 10 years at Trailer Brothers, retired after 19 years at Alchoa, and 20 years at MSD of Mt.Vernon, IN.
He loved spending time outside gardening and fishing.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Edelene (Blair) Sinnett; daughters Brenda (Bill) Rohrbacher of Texas, Sherri (Joseph) Wassmer, and son Mark (Jenni) Sinnett. He was adored by his nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Greg (Phyllis) Sinnett.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday July 31, 2015 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th. St., Mt. Vernon with burial in Sunset Memorial Garden in Evansville. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Owen Dunn Post #5. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
