Archie Hooser

Archie Wayne Hooser, 75, of Carmi, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Golden Living Center-Brentwood in Evansville, IN. He was born November 8, 1937 in Phillipstown, IL, the son of Samuel Archie and Emma Alice (Shepard) Hooser. Archie was a U.S. Army veteran and worked for the Department of Defense in the Naval Intelligence Department. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Carmi.

Archie is survived by a daughter, Angie Chicchirichi of Charles Town, WV; a son, David Wayne Hooser of Colorado Springs, CO; his mother, Emma Hooser of Carmi; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Larry B. Hughes of Carmi; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Archie Wayne Hooser, 75, of Carmi, will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Mike Fields and Rev. Luke Raczykowski officiating. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden near Carmi with Military Rites by the Carmi American Legion and VFW. Friends may call on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
