Anna Coston

Anna L. Coston, 94, of Elizabethtown, KY and formerly of Carmi passed away at 8:15 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2016 at Helmwood Healthcare in Elizabethtown. She was born January 9, 1922 in Emma Township, IL the daughter of John George and Juda Ellen (Hall) Bates. Anna married Donald D. Coston in Enfield, IL on August 20, 1947. She had worked as a seamstress at Ainsbrook Garment Factory in Carmi.
Anna is survived by her husband of 68 years Donald of Elizabethtown, KY; and a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne L. and Steven W. Moss of Elizabethtown, KY. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Lula Bates Allison, Bertha Bates Fischer, Nola Bates Holtzclaw and Sophia Bates Riley; and three brothers, Clyde, Charles and Dallas Bates.
Funeral Services for Anna (Bates) Coston, 94, of Elizabethtown, KY and formerly of Carmi will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden in Carmi. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, Illinois on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ann's memory to the White County Senior Citizens and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
